Tim Berners-Lee is the great person invented world wide web(www, w3) but he only supposed something at first. The supposition is "all the information stored on computer everywhere were linked?". Then he designed world wide web. At first, world wide web made us write, publish and share document easily, but "people make media and then media make people.". In interview at 2005, he mentioned that he was surprised at watching people program in html. 

The first of all trying is only supposition. 

New media do not replace old media, they displace them. Simply, my friend(Bong-Seo, Kwon / An airman / 21 years old) have stressed that there is nothing that replace pocket book. His opinion is what people are experienced writing with a pen unconsciously. I agree with that. I think people are skilled drawing with a pen too. Furthermore, sometime I feel like writing letter not e-mail. This may not be only my thinking. 

URI, URN, ISO, IETF and SGML are only technology, so those left me cold. Then I do not write about that.

1. Image Concept
Basic concept : 목이 짧은 기린
Naming : 짜린
Character : 어린 시절은 매우 소심했으나 커가는 과정에서 자신감을 얻는다.
Profile :
어린 기린은 실제로 목이 짧으므로 모든 성장기를 거친 기린이다.
평범한 기린과 같이 밤색을 띤 갈색이다.
목은 짧으나 다리는 길며 목의 뼈도 다른 기린처럼 7개이다.
Story line :
환경오염이 심각해 높은 나무가 사라지고 기린들은 긴 목을 이용하여 따먹을 열매가 사라졌다.
그러던 어느 날 태어난 기린이 성장을 해서도 목이 길어지지 않았고
많은 놀림감이 되었다. 그로 인해 한때는 매우 소심하고 우울했다.
하지만 남들과는 다른 자신의 특징을 잘 발휘하여 기린 집단에서 아주 중요한 역할을 맞게 되어 자신감을 얻었다.
그와 동시에 다른 종인 친구도 많이 생겼다.

2. Proportion, Color
기린의 다리는 길고 말랐으나 케릭터화를 위해 짧고 통통하게 그린다. 목 역시도 짧아서 마치 한 마리 말을 보는 것 같고 실제로 주변에 말들도 무늬 빼고는 똑같이 생겼다. 점박이 무늬가 듬성듬성있되 징그럽지 않게 최대한 둥글둥글하고 적게 그려넣어야한다.

3. Logo or Emblem
Za-lin을 아주 굴곡이 있고 가는 폰트로 쓰고 거기에 점을 그려넣을 것이다.

높은 나무가 사라진다고 해서 기린의 목이 짧아질 수가 없다.
자주 사용하는 기관은 더욱 발달하고 자주 사용하지 않은 기관은 퇴화한다는 리마르크의 용불용설에 의하면
자주 사용해 변화된 기관은 획득형질이라 유전되지 않는 특성이 있다.
결론적으로 짜린은 우연하게 태어났을 뿐이지만 환경오염과 연관지어 케릭터를 만들고 싶었다.

윌 헌팅
Will hunting lived a unhappy childhood and in poverty. Also, his friends are labor class and have low job.
윌 헌팅은 불후한 어린 시절을 보냈고, 가난했다. 물론 그의 친구들도 노동자계층이며 비천한 일을 하며 산다.

Being not teached anything, He solve a difficult problem well.
하지만 그는 어떠한 교육을 받지 않았음에도 불구하고 어려운 문제를 잘 풀어낸다.

Finally, professor looking at him becomes a teacher of him. He is changed.
그를 지켜보던 교수가 윌 헌팅의 스승이 되면서 그는 점차 변하게 된다.

Even if, we is kept in an inhospitable environment, this character let us have hope.
비록 좋지 않은 환경에 갇혀있더라도 희망을 갖게 해준다.

In addition, this character let us feel pity and surprise.
연민을 느끼게 함과 동시에 놀라움을 유발시킨다.

손오공

His name is taken from Son O Kong of Journey to the west, His real name, Cacarrot, is taken from 'Carrot', and his famaily's names are taken from vegetables.

그의 이름은 서유기의 손오공에서 따왔고, 본명인 카카로트는 carrot에서 나왔다. 그의 가족의 이름은 모두 채소에서 따왔다.

Although His look is common, actually, he is alien attached a tail.

평범하게 생겼지만 알고보면 꼬리가 달린 외계인이다.

He has oriental atmosphere, but this comic includes SF element.

동양적인 분위기를 내면서 충분히 SF적인 요소를 포함하여 거부감을 느끼지 않게 하였다.

Saiyan, a combat race, are very strong and harsh. But, he got hurt when he was young, so he grow up gentlely and purely.

전투민족인 사이어인은 매우 강하며 난폭하지만, 어릴 때 머리를 다쳐서 착하고 순진하게 크게 되었다.

Thanks to this fact, He become a character of fighting comic loved all people.

그 덕분에 모든 사람이 좋아하는 격투만화의 케릭터가 되었다.

Ryuk is evil spirit bored the evil spirit world.

사신계가 따분하다고 느끼는 사신이다.

So, he droped death note that kill people of written name on purpose.

그래서 이름을 적으면 그 사람이 죽는 데스노트를 인간계에 일부러 떨어뜨린다.

He is delighted by following human and watching behavior of human.

데스노트를 주운 인간을 따라다니며 인간의 행동을 보고 즐거워한다.

Because he act for his pleasure, he don't side with anybody.

오직 자신의 즐거움만을 위해 행동하기 때문에 누구의 편도 아니다.

(Last week) The beginning of 'hyperlink' is 'Memex' system described in "As We May Think" written by Vannevar Bush. "As We May Think" first formulated the concept of hyperlink. Actually, Memex was not made. But, the import thing is what the concept of hyperlink present. Since that time, we have made an effort in half-century.
(This week) In 1965, Ted Nelson named the concept of Memex 'Hypertext'. That time is year of appearance of hypertext. And he planed the xanadu project including non-linear writing and word processor. The xanadu project corresponded the concept of hyperlink in today. In 1968, Douglas Engelbart published the concept mouse, hypertext, object addressing and dynamic file linking, shared-screen collaboration, communication over a network with audio and video interface at the Fall Joint Computer Conference in San Francisco.

In this week, we studied the two key points. One is what digital media connect or separate people. What is that mean? Word for word, media(Media is a plural of medium.) are intermediation that something
connect or separate something. For example, somebody's strong desire to draw is connect expression by egg white. That's simply 'media'. And the other is what technologies embody social, political, cultural,
economic and philosophical ideas and relationships. Assume that one murder case is happened and murderer is a ex-baseball player, news present in society field and sports field. Like this, do not limit technology to technology.We also read "As we may think" that written by Vannevar Bush. What Vannevar Bush is MIT professor is not important. Vannevar Bush's thinking forecast 60 years hence. His thinking is so fast, that economical backing is not follwing. The number of people feeling necessity can't jump economical backing consumed by the development of technology. But, Vannevar bush continueously research and finally imagine memex, new system. He is not quit. He think new type of encyclopedia alike today's WWW.
